What makes the score

Individual survey results are never revealed. Company scores are based on three separate factors

  • The results of the contractor satisfaction survey.
  • The best return you can get from your gross pay.
  • How we at umbrellasupermarket.com rate & assess each company on a wide range of criteria.

Each member is only permitted one vote. Considerable care has been taken to ensure that while repeat votes are accepted, they are not counted. This type of inappropriate behaviour is not tolerated. Continued violation will merit loss of access to the site and in certain cases redress.

How Umbrella Company scores are worked out

The maximum possible score is 100. This is made up from three individual components:

  • Return on gross pay, max 10 points
  • Editor's opinion, max 30 points
  • Satisfaction survey results, max 60 points

Will you pick yours because they give you the highest take-home pay? Maybe you'd prefer to trust the expert's opinion or even decide based on how well they treat their customers?

Either that or just look at the overall score and get the best of all worlds.
